FFF Scrapbook Workshop #7 - Strips

Join the fun of a 3-hour in person scrapbook workshop.

This is the seventh and final in the Fast, Fun or Fancier workshop series running in conjunction with my Mission Possible Scrapbook Challenge. I joined forces with a group of experienced Demonstrators across Australia and New Zealand to create handouts showcasing one page design that could be kept simple and FAST to make, stepped up a little with a few embellishments and extra paper layouts for FUN or made FANCIER with the addition of extra embellishments, stamping, die cuts or techniques. One paper pack was used for all three layouts.

Strips cut shorter than a 12” length and combined on the page can create really interesting backdrops for your photos.

Dannii Edwards and Sue Harrington, are our featured designers and have both used Unbounded Beauty DSP (163372). You will love the variety of photo themes used with these papers -scout camp, wine tour, art exhibition, gardens and time out with friends all work with this versatile pack.

Dannii uses the florals and shows how rotating a sketch can give a completely different look. She has used the Saying Something (163761) and Labels & layers (163764) Ephemera packs for quick and easy embellishments. This layout works for a line of three 3x4 photos on the right-hand page and one or two photos on the left. This might be 6x4 or square.

Sue has used the plainer sides of the paper - gorgeous colour washes and contrasted these with strong cardstock colours. Her layout uses a photo grid across the two pages, accommodating up to four 6x4 portrait photos and four 3x4 landscape photos. Sue is a great storyteller and shows you how to include big journalling wells and photos of printed itineraries or information sheets.

I’ll teach you their tips and tricks and you choose whether your layouts will be Fast, Fun or Fancier. Bring photos and embellishments to go with the theme. You may choose to use the papers shown in the handouts or something similar you already own.
