Butler House - Washi Stamps

sept-2-pages-page-007
Our visit to this beautiful house in Kilkenny, Ireland last year was an absolute treat.  It was right next to the castle and had been lovingly restored.  When we travel we mainly stay in modest hotels or apartments but do like to 'splurge' once or twice along the way.  Mike picked this place and it did not disappoint.  If you are heading to Ireland I thoroughly recommend Butler House.

Butler houseI wanted a simple layout so I could fit lots of photos onto it.  I have very rapidly fallen in love with Washi Tape but at the time of making this page I only had a couple of rolls so was limited in my colour choice.  The perfect solution was to use the Hostess Rewards stamps, Washi Wonders.  Did you know that as a hostess you can purchase exclusive stamp sets for half price?  Check them out at the front of your CTMH Ideas Book.  These ones retire on Jan 31st so you have a week to get some friends together!  Next week I can show you the NEW ones... you are going to love them!

I used Laughing Lola WOTG stamps for the flowers.  The border stamp curves nicely for stems and the flowers can be stamped directly onto the page or onto cardstock and fussy cut with scissors.  I used a sponge dauber to add some colour to the centre of the flowers.

If you have the Sarita WOTG (G1066) and All the details (D155) stamps you have some Washi Tape stamps too.  An adaptation would be to use flag stamps that you can find in lots of the stamp sets.

CTMH has a variety of Washi Tape so you can make this layout using the real stuff too!  That would be even better.  Remember this month's great Cloud Nine promotion includes gorgeous Gold Dot Washi Tape.

Happy scrappin',

Shaunna
