You are invited to the
2026 Scrapbook PhD Retreat
What is a Scrapbook PhD? It’s a project half done!
Do you have one or more scrapbooks you have started in the past and never finished?
- Perhaps you got overwhelmed
- Maybe you needed to print extra photos and never got around to it
- Could be you just need to add some journalling
- Possibly you have loads of pages made and now need to fill the gaps so the album flows
- Or maybe, just maybe… a new and more exciting project sparked your interest!
Would you like to spend a weekend completing one or more of those PhD’s? A weekend where the cooking & cleaning is done for you, where you are sitting with lots of scrap happy ladies and you will not be interrupted. Yes? Then read on for more details.

In a nutshell...
The Scrapbook PhD Retreat is a weekend where you focus on completing album pages and using supplies you already own.
We celebrate our love of memory keeping and creating with paper. You will make many pages, laugh a lot and enjoy 48 hours away from the daily grind at home. You have the opportunity to learn something new at our two optional croptalks crop talks and your chats with other PhD ‘students’.
We gather at the Swan Valley Adventure Centre, Middle Swan, WA
The venue is well run, the cropping room is open 24/7, is well lit and you have a full, spacious table to work on. The food is yummy, and dishes are done for you. You will sleep in share rooms, on comfy beds with linen provided.
That’s all I need to know! I’ll register now
Scrapbook PhD Retreat explained
Unlike the Lemonade Retreat where the focus is on learning new techniques, this retreat is designed to help you finish what you have previously started.
I encourage you to take time before retreat to plan what you will do. You then bring just the supplies you need and do your own thing for the whole weekend.
I will cheer you on, reward your progress and 'cap' you when you complete one of your projects.

PhD Prep
The foundation of a great PhD is in the planning. Starting with a clear idea of your goal and the supplies you need to achieve it will save heaps of time on our weekend away.
A pre-event online mini class will help you set yourself up for success. We'll identify which project you need to focus on, figure out exactly what's needed to do the job and plan a number of pages using a very simple system.
I will send more information about this offering to registered participants, closer to retreat.
For now, start grouping your photos into albums that correlate with projects that are on your short list.
