What is a Scrapbook PhD?

It’s a project half done!

Do you have one or more scrapbooks you have started in the past and never finished?

  • Perhaps you got overwhelmed.
  • Maybe you needed to print extra photos and never got around to it.
  • Could be you just need to add some journalling
  • Possibly you have loads of pages made and now need to fill the gaps so the album flows
  • Or maybe, just maybe… a new and more exciting project sparked your interest!

Would you like to spend a weekend completing one or more of those PhD’s?  A weekend where the cooking & cleaning is done for you, where you are sitting with lots of scrap happy ladies and you will not be interrupted.  Yes?  Then read on for more details.

PhD Album fronts

In a nutshell...

The Scrapbook PhD Retreat is a weekend where you focus on completing album pages and using supplies you already own.

We celebrate our love of memory keeping and creating with paper.  You will make many pages, laugh a lot and enjoy 48 hours away from the daily grind at home.  You have the opportunity to learn something new at our two optional croptalks crop talks and your chats with other PhD ‘students’.

The venue is well run, the cropping room is open 24/7, is well lit and you have a full, spacious table to work on. The cooking and dishes are done for you.  You will sleep in share rooms, on comfy beds with linen provided.

That’s all I need to know!  I’ll register now

“I love the community and time to focus on one project that needs time to be finished, without starting something new. And the ability to use what I already have in my stash is a bonus as it has been my focus for a while so I can justify buying the new pretty things when they come out 😊”

“I love the opportunity to work on my own projects whilst surrounded by some of my closest and dearest friends. My heart is always replenished at these retreats. Bonus if I can smash out some pages along the way 🤣🥰”

“I love the great company, awesome venue, relaxed atmosphere and an opportunity to scrap and learn new things from you”

Scrapbook PhD Retreat explained

Unlike the April project retreat and the Lemonade Retreat where the focus is on learning new techniques, this retreat is aimed to help you finish what you have previously started.

I encourage you to take time before retreat to plan what you will do.  You then bring just the supplies you need and do your own thing for the whole weekend.

I will have a two crop talks filled with tips and tricks to streamline your page making and show you how to blend new products with old ones.

We will have a fun Scavenger Hunt style challenge to encourage you to use different products you may already own.  Prizes will be up for grabs in this one.

“PhD Retreat makes me accountable, makes me get organised and planning to get pages finished, creates a goal to work for.

Oh and the fun, laughter and company is also pretty cool!😂”

Shaunna Richards is Passionate About Pages

“PhD is my once a year catch up on all the pages I haven't journalled. I know I should do it as I go but I always seem to put the story writing off.

With Shaunna there to keep me accountable, I finish many pages and go home feeling so good!”

“My life is FULL - family, sport, work and church commitments make it really hard for me to make time to scrapbook.

Booking in forPhD retreat allows me time to power through, making a full album over the weekend. My pages aren't fancy but they are finished!”
